About the project

Les Vagues (※Replaceement/Remplaçant/代役)
A metaphor for time, the wave embodies both the image of perpetual flow and the symbol of impermanence.
The Waves, Virginia Woolf traces the individual journeys of her characters through each stage of their lives, set against the shifting atmospheres of a seaside landscape over the course of a single day. By materializing these identities as figures of ice—beings bound by time, united within the wave’s flow—I explore the phenomenon of transformation on individual, collective, and cosmic scales.
